make west is a story

It is a story about a group of explorers in search of wild, untethered adventure. It is about loading up the rocket, firing it at the moon, and trusting the magic of the universe. It was founded on the belief that hard work, good people and creative thinking can make incredible things. We respect the power that art and design have to change the world and we bring that philosophy to everything we do.

We are Creatives to the core, with backgrounds in painting, sculpture, welding, wood-working, photography, illustrating, graphic design, industrial design, sewing, cooking, creative writing and music. We have a passion for creative work and decades of collective industry knowledge. 

Our mission is simple: Focus on high-quality craftsmanship and operate with complete professional integrity.  

BECKY MCCOY

With a breadth of relationship building and business development experience, Becky is the thread that connects designers, architects, and production partners at Make West. Her operational mindset keeps the trains running on time and her knack for developing teams leads to deep connections.

GRANT LOUWAGIE

With a keen eye for detail, Grant leads project management and operations efforts at Make West. Grant's fine arts background informs his production and design expertise. as well as his ability to conceptualize creative ideas for clients.

JOHN HUFF

John's background in industrial design, signage, and environmental design makes him an invaluable member of Make West. If you have an idea, John will figure out how to draw it, build it and install it.

KATHLEEN PERNICIARO

Our Organization Wizard. With a background in art and several years of project management experience, Kathleen is passionate about where art and business collide. She comes to Make West from the residential construction industry and her experience at managing processes and communication makes her a catch all for executing to-dos and streamlining the tasks at hand.

AMANDA EGGLESTON

Amanda is a multi-disciplinary designer with a background in landscape and interior architecture, as well as experiential graphic design and engineering. She is an expert in translating brand stories to physical spaces. Amanda serves as Co-chair for the Denver chapter of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD).

BLAKE GUNDERSON

An industrial designer by trade, Blake brings a deep understanding of technical production and design to Make West. From detailed rendering to assisting with fabrication, Blake's a multidisciplinary asset to Make West.

MARJORIE ALBERT

Marjorie has over three decades of experience in purchasing and estimating in the print and manufacturing world. Her well-established partnerships with vendors is instrumental in facilitating the success of every Make West project. She digs deep into the production process to understand true costs and find efficiencies.

LIBBY brodeur

Libby is a talented illustrator and fine artist with years of design experience and a specialty in wall coverings. She guides clients through custom design solutions using original surface pattern and graphic concepts to create unique and vibrant spaces.

MIKE SHUGARS

Mike combines years of design and project management expertise to bring creative concepts to Make West's clients. His hands-on experience in the shop gives him the insight to focus on each project's unique and custom details.

AARON HILST

Aaron has extensive experience in experiential design, as well as print and digital design. A skillful project manager and writer as well, Aaron brings a breadth of skills to the Make West team

MIKE GALLAGHER

A masterful problem solver, Mike's depth of technical fabrication knowledge complements his finely-honed millwork and finishing skills. Even the most challenging builds are no match for Mike's craftsmanship skills.

MARC SUND

Marc is a seasoned builder with decades of experience in the sign fabrication and custom furnishings industries. Whether it's millworking, metal-working or anything in between, Marc knows how to craft it.

maddie bonthron

Maddie is a multi-disciplinary designer with expertise across both the fabrication and creative aspects of the built environment. Blending her industrial design background with a passion for graphic arts, she has found her niche in experiential design.
